Steve serves as President at Balsam Technologies. Steve originally attended Clark University to become a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and later went to work for Microsoft's "Server Support Team" where he provided technical support on Microsoft’s server platforms to national and international Fortune 500 businesses. Before founding Balsam Technologies, Steve served as the Senior Network Administrator at PCi Corporation, a leader in the financial software industry.

Having worked for ten years in office and business management, Laura serves as Treasurer at Balsam Technologies. Laura holds a BS in Biology from the University of Rochester and has studied leadership and financial management at the University of Massachusetts in Boston. Prior to Balsam Technologies, Laura worked at Place of Promise, a Boston based non-profit organization, as a financial and office administrator. Laura then went on to fill a similar role for a commercial electrical contractor in accounting and office management.  


Matthew MacKinnon, Systems Engineer

Matthew MacKinnon, Systems Engineer

Originally from Salem Massachusetts, Matt has achieved multiple certifications from Microsoft and CompTIA.  Matt serves as a Systems Engineer at Balsam Technologies and interacts with clients to provide ongoing server support, network support and helpdesk support.  Matt currently lives in Gloucester MA and enjoys the various outdoor activities that the beautiful Northshore affords.  Matthew is also an avid competitive basketball player. 

Andrew Nimon, Systems Engineer

Andrew Nimon, Systems Engineer

Born and raised in Gloucester Massachusetts, Andrew is the latest addition to the Balsam Team.  Andrew attended Lexington Christian Academy and then went on to achieve his bachelor's degree at Gordon College.  Andrew is a Microsoft Certified Professional and is currently pursuing additional IT industry certifications. He lives in Gloucester with his wife Becky and enjoys the outdoors and spending time with friends.  He is also an accomplished Karate Black Belt and formerly achieved multiple awards in scholastic team wrestling competitions.  

Catherine Nimon, Client Services

A Gloucester native, Catherine earned her bachelor's degree from Grove City College in Grove City, PA.  Prior to Balsam Technologies, Catherine gained experience in small business administration through her roles working for the City of Gloucester at the Sawyer Free Library, the Henry Buhl Library in Pennsylvania, and also a Gloucester-based construction firm.  Her attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction have been a vital asset in her various positions along the way.  Catherine has also lived abroad in both France and Egypt, but she is happy to now be settled by the ocean and near her family. Though she still loves trying food from all over the world!
